July Special Edition Mystery Coffee Reveal - WOC

During the last World of Coffee in Copenhagen, we had the chance to roast our own Mystery Coffee at the ROEST stand, thanks to help from Denis. After the event, more than 10 people from our group who were present at Bella Center in Copenhagen had the opportunity to take some coffee home and try to guess what exactly we roasted during our event.

After more than two weeks, it's time to learn all the details about the Mystery Coffee!

About the coffee & farm:

Jaramillo Coffee Estate, a family-owned business cultivating coffee for more than four generations. Their sustainable farming practices enable them to pursue their passion for agriculture while caring for the environment and fostering biodiversity.

Finca Jaramillo is located in the region of Jaramillo Arriba, just 5 minutes from downtown Boquete. They grow 100% Arabica beans, including Typica and Caturra varieties at elevations above 1350 meters and Gesha variety at over 1500 meters.

Their roots are in the agricultural village of Boquete, in the highlands of the Chiriquí province, known as the “Valley of The Moon” in the Isthmus of Panamá.

Their mission is to continue farming the land, preserving a legacy that reflects the dedication and respect of farmers who love and honor their land. They maintain the diversity of their native shade trees, which are essential for developing specialty coffee and provide natural pathways for resident and migratory birds.

They offer employment to over 50 coffee pickers from the indigenous Ngäbe Buglé community, supporting hundreds of families who rely on Finca Jaramillo for their livelihood. The generational succession of their fields is ensured through their family’s commitment to sustainable production, soil maintenance, proper crop nutrition, and genetic selection of seeds.
